Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using OBX Crew, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Your Account

You need to create an account to use OBX Crew. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@obxcrew.app.

3. What OBX Crew Does

OBX Crew is a group trip planning app. You can create trips, plan meals, assign rooms, manage packing lists, track shared expenses, and coordinate logistics with the people in your group.

4. Acceptable Use

Please use OBX Crew for its intended purpose — planning trips with people you know. You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Abuse, spam, or harass other users
• Attempt to access other users' data outside of trips you share with them
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the app beyond normal use
• Interfere with the app's operation or security

5. Your Content

Everything you create in OBX Crew — trip details, meal plans, packing lists, payment records, and so on — belongs to you.

By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content to other members of your trips. This is simply what's required for the app to work — we need to show your meal plan to the people on your trip.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including payment records and expense tracking.

6. Payments and Expense Tracking

This is important: OBX Crew is a record-keeping tool, not a payment processor.

• The app helps you track who paid for what and who owes whom.
• We do not process payments, transfer money, or handle any financial transactions.
• Actual money transfers between trip members happen outside the app, through whatever method you and your group prefer.
• We are not responsible for disputes between users about payments or shared expenses.
• We are not responsible for inaccurate payment records entered by users.

7. Service Availability

We do our best to keep OBX Crew running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The app may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or updates.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features over time. For significant changes, we'll try to give you advance notice.

8. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled when you delete your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

OBX Crew is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any data loss, though we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
• We are not liable for disputes between trip members.
• We are not liable for inaccurate payment or expense records entered by users.
• Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid for the app (OBX Crew is free, so this amount is $0).

10. Intellectual Property

OBX Crew — including its design, code, and branding — is our property. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

Your data belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of any content you create.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through an in-app notification. Continued use of OBX Crew after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
